Dominic's Birthday #2

Danny and I were able to fly to Houston for our nephew, Dominic's 2nd Birthday. It was so much fun and Dom is just getting cuter. We had lots of fun at the parks, taking walks, opening presents, eating desserts, and just hanging out! Thanks for letting us come and stay with you guys Lexie and Jacob!

Dominic fell in love with this tractor as soon as he ripped the wrapping paper off of it. He would hardly leave a room without it. I took him back in their game room and all the sudden he gets up and runs to the living room and then comes back with his tractor, just as happy as can be and just sits with it on his lap :)

Lexie and I made Dominic a barn and animal birthday cake and cupcakes. It was a very chaotic event but we laughed a lot and I love how it turned out.

He was cracking me and Lexie up when all of the sudden we realized that he had gotten up on the table to lay and eat his chips and watch tv all at the same time while wearing only a diaper. So cute and funny!

As you can probably tell, I got a little obsessed with taking pictures of him. But I know that my parents and brothers and sisters will appreciate that.

SOUTHWEST AIRLINES

Danny started his internship on September 13th. He has loved it so far. It is a great company with a lot of fun people and a great culture and work environment. Danny has been working so hard and I am so proud of him.

SMU Soccer & Texas Roadhouse

Southern Methodist University is just a couple of minutes from our apartment and since Danny knew that I was sad to be missing the BYU girls soccer games this fall, he took me to a SMU soccer game. It was so nice outside and the game was a lot of fun.

Danny and I were big fans of Texas Roadhouse while we were in Utah so when we got here we decided that we had to try it in the state that it is actually named after.

It was just as delicious as we remembered it :)

Apartment #2

We finally got to our new apartment on September 9th. It is quit a bit smaller than our last apartment but it fits us perfect for right now. We were so thrilled to finally be off the road, until soon after hauling all of our things from our car inside... we realized that there was something very serious wrong with our air conditioning! At least we hoped that there was something wrong with it and that it wasn't just the heat from the Texas weather trying to kill us. It was a long first night but the next day the a/c was fixed, we settled in, and have been enjoying our cozy little air conditioned apartment ever since.

Road Trip

So Danny got an internship on the Materials Planning team at Southwest Airlines... which is in Dallas, TEXAS!! Which is really far from Washington which means that we got to go on a very very long road trip together, approximately 30 hours...! We were grateful to have lots of people to stop and visit on the way though-- we started from Moses Lake, stopped in Boise to stay with Danny's parents for a night, stopped in Salt Lake and visited our sisters Whitney and Amber, then we drove for sixteen hours to Amarillo, and then finally made it to Dallas, Texas.

We were bored enough to take a few pictures along the way...

Why anyone would paint this picture on the wall of their store is beyond me... I would never go in, nevertheless buy anything from there.

Our First Apartment

Moving out of me and Danny's first apartment together was a sad day. We had so many wonderful memories and experiences while living there during our first year of marriage. I've been meaning to post pictures of it since we first moved in... better late than never I suppose :)
